Karakoram Mountain Range
The Karakoram Range covers the borders of three main countries in south Asian region, India, china and Pakistan. This region is divided into three states, Gilgit-Baltistan, the territory of Pakistan, Ladakh in India, and Xingjian which is territory of China. It is the greatest Mountain range of about 500km (311 miles) from the East of Afghanistan and the Southeast landmarks of Central and South Asia. The Northeast is covered by the edge of the Tibetan plateau and the Pamir Mountains. This range has 60 peaks beyond 7000 meters.
K2- 2nd highest mountain peak in the world
The Karakoram mountain range includes the K2, the second-highest mountain peak in the world that is also in Pakistan. A team of European climbers first discovered it in 1856, and one of their members named Thomas Montgomery named it K2, which resembles it as the second biggest mountain peak of Karakoram Range.
The average height of Karakoram peaks is 26000 feet (7900meters), four of these elevate 26,000 feet and K2 is one of them 28,251 feet (8611meters). Because of the greater height, this mountain peak has a heavy glacial system, with more clammy slopes in the south.
The most famous Glaciers in the biggest mountains embrace Hispar, Chago Lungma, Braldo, Biafo, Baltoro which are at a union of Concordia and Siachen. The melted water of these glaciers serves Indus and Yarkand rivers; the passage of these rivers is made on the high-elevated area so that the melted water and snow can flow easily into the rivers of the region.
Nanga Parbat-mountain with extreme weather conditions
Nanga-Parbat known as Diamer is the ninth highest mountain in the world, which is almost 26,660 feet (8,126 meters). It is standing on the Southeast of the North corner of the Indus River in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nanga Parbat is in the West of himalayas, the karakoram. and the North West of Astor region, which is in the Kashmir region occupied by Pakistan. This region has severe weather conditions and non-stop avalanches.
A British Alpine Climber, named Albert F. Mummery first attempted to summit the snow-covered killer mountain, but died in first attempt. Likewise, many other climbers lost their lives
Breathtaking journey to Pirchanasi
Pirchanasi is a place of faith, and a tourist attraction, located 30 kilometer east of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir. This landscape is located 2900 meters above the mountain, is famous for the shrine of Syed Husain Shah Bukhari.

Deosai National Park- Preserved beauty of northern areas of Pakistan
Deosai national park is a beautiful landscape in Gilgit, known as the land of meadows. This national park is given the name of ‘Summer Palace’ by the locals, who enjoy green and peaceful life after a warm-up winter. It is the second-highest plateau in the world. In springs the place is wiped away by wildflowers and rare butterflies.
This national park is located in a place of Tibetan wolf, Himalayan Ibex, Tibetan Red fox, and Golden marmots, but the Government has permitted the charge of protection in 1993 with the motive of sheltering highly endangered Himalayan Bears.
This place is full of lakes, streams, and meadows, and fishing is allowed with a license. The Skardu Government has divided the park into many areas and the main area is specialized for Brown Bears.
The only time to visit this national park is summer, because it is closed in winters due to heavy snowfall in the region. It’s a place that will take you feeling from this Earth and this will be your best appealing time ever.
