Key Business Networking Event Highlights Bilateral Cooperation
Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, attended a high-level networking session organized by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). The event underscored the growing economic collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
During his discussions with DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed and Board Members, Mr. Khan noted a steady increase in trade and commercial activity between the two countries. He highlighted emerging opportunities in pharmaceuticals, automotive, and mineral sectors, which are attracting growing interest from both business communities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations. He stressed the importance of people-to-people contacts, academic exchanges, and trade partnerships in enhancing cooperation.
During his meeting with Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain, Adviser on Religious Affairs to the Bangladesh government, the Prime Minister underscored the need for sustained high-level visits to maintain momentum in bilateral engagement.
Shared History and Cultural Ties
Welcoming Dr. Hossain and his delegation, Prime Minister Sharif recalled their previous meetings in New York and Cairo. He praised the leadership of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus for his global efforts in poverty alleviation and his commitment to fostering Pakistan-Bangladesh relations.
Dr. Hossain conveyed a personal letter from Professor Yunus, offering condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan and extending support in relief efforts. He also reaffirmed that the brotherly relations between the two nations are deeply rooted in shared history, cultural ties, and common faith.
